WATER WEEK 2017 - [March 19 - 25, 2017]

Presented by the nation's leading water organizations, Water Week 2017 was the gathering of hundreds of water professionals from around the country to Washington, DC, in order to advocate with one voice for national policies that advance clean, safe, affordable water.

​

NATIONAL WATER POLICY FLY-IN [March 21-22, 2017]

​

The cornerstone event of Water Week, the National Water Policy Fly-in was both a summit for the nation's most pressing water issues, and an opportunity for water professionals and leaders to meet directly with members of Congress and regulators to deliver important messages about the value of water and the importance of ensuring proper policy to protect the nation's clean water.

RALLY FOR WATER - [March 22, 2017]

​

The grassroots show of unity on the US Capitol grounds. Attended by hundreds of water professionals from around the country and members of the nation's largest water organizations in the country. Key congressional members attended and spoke.

​

INTEGRATED MARKETING, COMMUNICATIONS AND PROMOTION

​

As marketing and communications lead, Viardo coordinated the promotional collaboration and media push for the Week's Washington, DC events, including: the Fly-in, the Rally, the various meetings & receptions for members, activities in Congress, and general press availabilities.  The event was a huge success, exceeding goals for media hits, national media hits, digital and social media engagement metrics, sector collaborations and sponsorship revenue.

Media Avail:  Value of Water Campaign's Public Opinion Survey Release

The Value of Water (VOW) campaign used Water Week as a vehicle to release public opinion research on key water issues--the basis for many press stories. Media avail coordinated by Viardo and VOW representatives.
